The short path to auction collection guidance on mobile

For auction collection guidance, the journey from landing page to inquiry now works with a thumb. Staff answering questions on the move have a direct page to point people to.

the build

A

Where they started

The auction collection guidance pages were organized around a desktop menu with layers of subsections. Mobile visitors scrolled past paragraphs of copy before finding any way to get in touch.

B

Why it cost them time

Day to day with auction collection guidance, callers kept asking where to find things that were, technically, on the site. The information existed; the path to it did not survive a smaller screen.

01 What we built

The build, lot by lot

A compact mobile menu now groups an overview, buyer terms and loading arrangements and a clearly labeled inquiry button. Sections were reordered so the questions visitors ask first appear first.

Questions about this project

How long did this project take?

15 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover. The clock starts once the client has approved the content. The launch times on the pricing page (7 days on Ring) count from the onboarding call instead, so the two figures are measured from different starting points.

Which plan covers the work in this case study?

Pages that open before the bid closes (Ring, Block, Rostrum). All of it is on every plan, from Ring at $127 a month, with the $697 build fee invoiced only after launch.

Why is the client not named?

The client is described by type and town on purpose: a fine art and ceramics saleroom in Roanoke, VA, with 18 staff. The quote is published with the named contact's permission. We never publish a client's business name, logo or web address on a case study.
